Finally, after a year and a half of being a member of the church, I bore my testimony in front of the church... I know I should have done it long before now, but my fear got the best of me. But I'm so glad that I got the courage to finally do it.
I talked about how we have to take an active role in strengthening our own testimonies.... I bore my testimony of the power of scripture study and how it has greatly enhanced my own relationship with Heavenly Father and even my daily attitude. I was trying to think of a comparison tonight on my drive back to Auburn, and the only thing I kept thinking about was Mary Poppins' "Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, medicine go down, medicine go down." I think studying our scriptures and praying daily can be that spoonful of sugar that helps us swallow the bitter medicine every single day. I know it is my spoonful of sugar, that's for sure.
On another note, Kyle and I are just growing closer and closer every day. Today, we were talking about how we are more in love now than when we first fell in love. He had one sappy moment and told me he felt like he couldn't breathe without me, and it made my eyes well up with tears. I'm such a crybaby, but I just couldn't help thinking about how incredibly blessed I am to be able to have him for eternity.
Well... 3 tests this week. Pray that I will maintain some level of sanity.
P.S. While I sit in the library, eating pizza, I think about how excited I am to start our BIGGEST LOSER competition this Friday! Kyle, me, and several of our friends are going to do our own BIGGEST LOSER and whoever loses the most percentage body fat, wins the pot of money we all put in.
I'm going to dominate!
